The Student Gifted in Mathematics and Science

The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md.

Much more needs to be done for the nation's tal ented students in mathematics and science than is now happening in the schools, asserts this writer, who describes in this article the Study of Mathe matically Precocious Youth (SYMPY) at The Johns Hopkins University and what has been accomplished for the young participants.
