Woman School Administrators: A Status ReportIndiana University, Bloomington
University of Iowa, Iowa City Educational literature is saturated with rhetoric con cerning affirmative action, Title IX, and the evils of sexism. However, in the arena of school adminis tration, the authors note, not only are women notice ably lacking among the ranks of practitioners, but also they are grossly underrepresented among those who train administrators (university profes sors) and those who hire and fire administrators (boards of education). McCarthy and Webb review the situation and offer some advice in the following pages.
